ResearchRabbit helps you explore the literature through many different paths. You can use ResearchRabbit to explore the references and citations of any paper, visualize their connections, and find relevant work. Here's how to view citations and/or references for any paper in ResearchRabbit.

How to see References of a paper in ResearchRabbit

A paper contains references to previous research it relies on. These references are cited throughout the article, and listed at the bottom as "References".

Here's how to see the reference list for any article in ResearchRabbit:

  1. Click on a paper anywhere in ResearchRabbit

  2. View its article details

  3. Click on the button "Refs" at the bottom of the window

Here, you'll see a full list of references for the paper, as a list and visualization. You can save articles and do iterative searches from here by checking any paper you see.

How to see Citations of a paper in ResearchRabbit

A paper gets citations when other researchers cite it in their work. Citations only happen after a paper is published. Generally speaking, the older a paper is, the more citations it will accrue, because more time has elapsed for other researchers to build upon their work. Additionally, citations are often correlated with impact and importance in a field.

Here's how to see the citations for any article in ResearchRabbit:

  1. Click on a paper anywhere in ResearchRabbit

  2. View its article details

  3. Click on the button "Cited by" at the bottom of the window
